Competition Results
Tertiary Education
The organizer re-checked all participating cars under the Tertiary Education category after the competition. With careful examination of the information collected during the car checks, the Judging Panel has acknowledged that one of the participating teams had made a mistake by inappropriately connecting a negatively grounded conductor to the neutral line between the motor port and the joulemeter port, causing inaccurate joulemeter reading for the Energy Efficient Design Award. One of the aims of the Solar Car Competition is to cultivate innovation and creativity in engineering application of new energy in new generation, and the efforts made by all teams in the competition are highly appreciated. However, the Judging Panel considered the inappropriate connection of the negatively grounded conductor by the concerned team as technical negligence, and hence decided that the team should be disqualified and the Energy Efficient Design Award and Overall Award presented to it be withdrawn.
